General Information
The 12th International Conference on Construction Applications of Virtual Reality(CONVR 2012) will be held at National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan during November 1-2, 2012. Taipei city is well known for its friendly environment for foreigner visitors (http://eng.taiwan.net.tw ). The organization committee would like to welcome all the scholars worldwide working on Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) in construction to exchange breakthrough and latest research ideas.
About CONVR
The International Conference on Construction Applications of Virtual Reality was initiated by Prof. Nashwan Dawood. The first CONVR was held in Middlesbrough in 2000. The conference focuses on the fields of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) which are forward-looking technologies that offer considerable potential benefits in all stages of the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) process, from initial planning and conceptual design to facility management and operations.
Objective
CONVR 2012 will bring together researchers and applicants from a wide range of architecture, civil engineering and the construction industry and enhance the exchange of concepts and methods for the application of virtual reality and augmented reality. The aim of the conference is to report on ideas, improvements, and applications of innovative international research activities and on strategies for the future development of research perspectives.
